Moreland becomes newest member of Fayette 1,000 point club

Lemont Furnace, PA – The Penn State Fayette Department of Athletics would like to honor and recognize senior, Haley Moreland, of the Penn State Fayette women's basketball team for achieving her 1,000th point of her collegiate basketball career at Penn State Fayette. Moreland hails from Uniontown, PA and is a valued team member of the women's basketball program for Penn State Fayette. Moreland is a guard for the Roaring Lions as she has entered her senior season.

Moreland scored her 1,000 point and would have her best performance of the season in the victory against Butler County Community College. Moreland recorded 21 points for Fayette. Currently, the Roaring Lions hold the record of (1-3). Moreland has averaged at least 18 points in the last 4 games this season. Moreland is leading the team in points.

Moreland joins a premier listing of 1000 point club members: Kasey Ruble, Caitlin Wontroba, Jill Guthrie, Taylor Smith, and Courtney Haines. Moreland and the rest of the Lady Roaring Lions are looking to add another win to the season as the first conference match-up starts this weekend at Penn State Worthington Scranton.
